Leicester - Coventry 1 1,83
2:2
English Championship
Another Midlands derby in the Championship and one
where Leicester should cement their position in the
play-offs and continue giving themselves an outside
chance of automatic promotion. Nigel Pearson's team
have done very well on their return to the English
second flight, with their ten wins at the Walkers Stadium
providing them with a solid platform. The Foxes have
won their last three games in front of their own supporters
and won at Selhurst Park last Saturday with yet another
accomplished defensive performance. Jack Hobbs in
particular is having a great season.
Coventry have a chance of joining Leicester in the play-offs
and have nothing to lose from having a go in this match,
although Saturday's 1-1 draw with Plymouth displayed
a lack of cutting edge and the Sky Blues have already
lost nine matches on their travels this term. Considering
the relative lack of resources at the Ricoh, manager
Chris Coleman has done very well to steer his team into
the top half of the table, although a recent 4-1 defeat at
Newcastle illustrates what might happen when they
come up against quality opposition.
